Fresh lemons made into lemonade. Excellent recipe!
6 large lemons
1.4 litres of boiling water
1- Scrub the lemons in warm water, then grate the lemons with a zester.
2- Put the zest in a large bowl and add the squeezed juice of all the lemons and the sugar.
3- Next pour 1.4 litres of boiling water, stir well, cover and leave overnight in a cool place.
4- Next day stir again and taste to check the sweetness. Add more sugar if it is necessary.
5- Strain the lemon mixture. Pour into bottles and then chill.
6- Serve the lemonade either straight or diluted with soda water, with lots of ice.
- Make sure that there is not white pith in the lemon zest or the lemonade will taste bitter.
