This bake can be served with beef, chicken, pork, turkey and kangaroo … yes, kangaroo!!!
1 medium size butternut squash
2 cups of cream
10 sage leaves
salt to taste
1- Peel the butternut squash and cut into 1 inch cubes.
2- Put the butternut squash pieces in a baking dish then add the sage leaves and salt. Mix well with your hands.
3- Add the cream. Make sure the cream almost covers the butternut squash. Add more cream if it is needed.
4- Bake uncovered at 180C for 20 to 30 minutes or until the squash is just tender.
– Check the bake after 20 minutes. Butternut squash cooks very quickly.
– If you are counting the calories low fat cream can also be used.
